The Aikido community is an international one. The philosophy/worldview of harmony and friendship allows aikidoka from all over the world to participate in aikido practice wherever their journey takes them. In Aikido it is very common to have several nationalities on the tatami at once. You may find the same here at Aikido Leiden, people from Hungary, France, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Japan, Kazachstan, England, China and Poland are currently practicing in our dojo.
Classes will be conducted partly in English and additional information in English can be provided when needed. As in this article about the use of the word “Path” or “Way” as a metaphor.
The metaphor of the Path and the Art of Living EN
Or this one about the “Art of Living”
We will do our best to make you feel at home during your stay in our dojo. Welcome again and hope to see you soon on the tatami!
